New Year’s Day 2014: I’m sitting here finding it hard to believe it is now exactly ten years ago when it all came together, our best laid plans came to fruition and our Pan-American Adventure was finally a go! New Years Day 2004, our last full day in Belfast before London, Paris and then Santiago […]
I sit here tapping this blog on a quiet Easter Sunday morning in the kitchen of the very homely Esgair Cottage somewhere in the middle of nowhere but roughly near St Clears in South Wales. Outside the kitchen window, the view: a leaden sky hanging over tree shrouded rolling valleys and each day since we […]
Another Saturday, another bookstore, but this week we’ve broken away from the chain-gang and are at our first independent bookseller, David’s Bookshop, in Letchworth. A beautiful day‘n all (maybe the last of this unseasonably warm and sunny autumn weather?) made for a pleasant short ride to the store on both bikes where they took position […]
Last Saturday saw us attend our first ‘Mall’ book event. To date we have appeared in a number of busy high street shops with the two books, happy to natter and sign copies for contented customers. What then of the Mall? Our first ‘Mall’ then was Milton Keynes, set in the heart of that modern […]
Responding to the many requests we’ve received about creating eBook versions of Adventures in Yellow, we’re delighted to announce that Leprechauns in Latin America and Leprechauns in Alaska are now available for the Amazon Kindle.
Boy what a week it’s been! Hitchin was the venue for our second successful Waterstone’s book signing on Saturday 3rd September with the bike outside pointing the way to the books. Then Thursday evening saw our first slideshow presentation with the books and a very warm reception at David’s Bookshop in Letchworth. A good write-up […]
A wet Saturday morning in St Albans. Maggie and I ducked into Waterstone’s to get out of the rain that had eased to a steady downpour. One of my favourite bookshops, so the rain wasn’t that much of an excuse. There was a guy sat at a table signing books. He was nobody famous and his book […]
Saturday 6th August: D-Day for Adventures in Yellow when the 2 books were finally to be set loose into the big wide world. A bookstore launch seemed obvious but we’d been advised that this weekend, at the start of the summer hols, might be a bit quiet so we confidently set out for the ‘Skylark […]
Today marks the long-awaited official release of Leprechauns in Latin America and Leprechauns in Alaska. Both books are now available on Amazon and in Waterstones and all good bookshops. To celebrate the release, we’ll be at the Skylark Motorcycle + Truck + Rock Festival at March near Cambridge this weekend.
We drove down to London on this sunny Sunday morning for a last visit to the Ace Café and then a walk around the West End for a last look at our favourite city. The National Gallery in Trafalgar Square had a mural outside describing a Van Gogh painting of a wicker chair. The display […]
